Chrysoperla carnea, or green lacewing, is one of the best and most common beneficial insects used for aphid control. While aphids are their preference, they are generalist predators and will go after Thrips, Whitefly, Lepidoptera eggs, Mealybugs, and Two Spotted Spider Mites as well. Lacewing larvae are the predacious stage, and a single larva can consume 300-400 aphids in their lifetime, which lasts for a 2–3-week period.

Larvae: Tip container back and forth a few times to gently shake contents and then tap out of container onto the affected foliage for best results. Alternatively, contents can be placed in Bugboxes or on top of the growing medium.

Lacewing eggs: Leave receptacle containing eggs at room temperature for 1-3 days until eggs just begin to hatch and movement is visible. Tap out onto foliage.
