Cryptolaemus montrouzieri, also known as the Mealybug Destroyer, is a predatory beetle that feeds on Mealybugs and Mealybug relatives, as the name would imply, as well as aphids and whitefly. One beetle can consume over 200 Mealybugs in a lifetime, making it an integral part of an IPM plan for Mealybugs. Both the larvae and adult beetle are predacious. The larvae are less mobile and provide excellent control for hotspots.
