Orius insidiosus, also known as Minute Pirate Bugs, are general predators that have a preference for Thrips. Adults and nymphs pierce Thrips larvae and adults with their mouthparts and suck out their bodily contents. They are excellent choices for significant Thrips infestations. If Thrips aren’t present, they will also feed on aphids, Spider Mites, Whitefly, and lepidoptera eggs.

*Application rates can vary depending on actual conditions.

  • Rotate container back and forth a few times to gently shake contents and then tap out of container onto the affected foliage, on top of the growing medium, or in Bugboxes. Orius lays a large proportion of its eggs in (side) shoots. Avoid unnecessary loss of these eggs by applying directly after removing side shoots.
Apply in the evening or morning.
